This week was more than a little disappointing. Despite a total caloric deficit of 3100 and a great set of exercises yesterday, I have suffered a small setback. This ends my longest streak of 6 consecutive weeks with weight loss. Time to start a new one, I guess.
Fortunately I didn't slip under the 30-lbs mark or past the "overweight" BMI calculation.
This weigh-in was 150.0 lbs, up 1 pound from last week's reading of 149.0 lbs. I am now 5 pounds above my target weight.
Total weight lost: 30.0 lbs (16.67% of my body weight). At my target weight I will have lost nearly 20% of my body weight. I am currently at 88.57% of my goal.
My new BMI calculation is 24.21, which is an increase of 0.16 from last reading. My total BMI decrease is 5.74 kg/m2. At my target weight my BMI will be 23.4. At that point, new fitness goals will be set; but for now I am focusing on this goal.

Thank you, Wii Fit. Kerri and I borrowed the game from Kyle a while ago and I've been getting into the strength and yoga exercises. I think those have helped this week, although I really need to get back on the damn bike. In other developments, I have purchased a fancy new scale that measures within 1/5th of a pound, so the numbers won't necessarily end in tidy .5's and .0's anymore.
This weigh-in puts at 31 lbs, which is significant for me. I first broke 20 lbs in February (and again in March) so the last 10 lbs was really tough - took me twice as long to lose that 10 lbs than it took to lose that first 20, but I guess that's normal.
I also am proud to report that this week marks the 6th consecutive week that I've had a loss - my longest streak yet. The previous long was 4 straight weeks when I first began this effort.
Finally, it is worth noting that according to my newly corrected BMI numbers, I am officially in the "Normal" weight zone for any modern BMI interpretation. Finally!

So what does this mean? Well, a couple of things: first, I have no self-awareness when it comes to my short stature. It also means that my BMI is over 25 - I am still technically overweight in that category. Every post I've done this year has the wrong numbers. I will fix this morning's post to reflect the correct figures, but I'm not going to change them all. Probably not, anyway.

This was an interesting week. I wasn't really able to do any planned exercise this week due to my calf pain (though I did take every chance I could to carry tires or heavy parts at work) so I was worried that I wouldn't achieve my caloric deficit goals. I did pretty well, however.
With this weigh-in, I find myself at my lowest weight since I was in High School, and only 2 lbs away from the 30 lbs lost mark. I think I've finally officially broken through the slump that I was going through since late February, when I broke the 20-lb mark. I have lost 5.5 lbs in the last three weeks, so I'm really pleased with the trend lately. Hopefully I can keep it up!

I probably would have done better this week had it not been for the caloric orgy that took place in a San Diego Benihana's on Saturday, but progress is progress.
I wasn't able to get to riding the bike very much on vacation, but I did do some in-room step aerobics which have completely killed my legs (I thought it was just a cardio exercise?) so I won't be back on the bike until they recover a bit.
This weigh-in was 154.5 lbs, down 0.5 lbs from last week's reading of 155 lbs. I am now 9.5 pounds above my target weight.
Total weight lost: 25.5 lbs (14.17% of my body weight). At my target weight I will have lost nearly 20% of my body weight. I am currently at 71.43% of my goal.
My new BMI calculation is 24.93, which is a decrease of 0.08 from last reading. My total BMI decrease is 4.12 kg/m2. At my target weight my BMI will be 23.4. At that point, new fitness goals will be set; but for now I am focusing on this goal.
